Today our population blows up tremendously because the birth rate is significantly higher than the death rate, and to think that the generation today seems to have an easy life about sexuality. Morally, we have forgotten the presence of our environment, this huge advancement on our numbers seems to require the earth to expand as well, but besides that, let's think about ourselves as an individual first, how are we affecting the environment individually?

Each of us produces garbage, no one could deny that because it's somehow a human need to keep away the unnecessary things around them, well, how then would this blog affect the people's awareness if in a sense no one could turn everything around. the last statement has the answer, it's not harnessed by human beings to turn around inevitable happenings around, the only thing we could do is to preserve the environment, we are so used to use our environment, and in our own means and activities, we tend to destroy it, what else could this world could offer but to give us shelter.

By a simple study, i have seen the worst on how i affect the environment, that not by any cause of discipline could not change it's cycle. i have seen every trash that our household produced in the matter of 3 days, and we are just 1 family who produced that. A very alarming fact is that there are billions of people in this world who are more trash producers than that of ours, and i can't help myself to imagine that the world may contain distinctively more trash than sand. A very sad fact, but what are we to do? are we just gonna cry? the answer lies beneath the discipline of what we consume, because in consumption, there is a residue, in any forms, shapes, and sizes, there would surely be a product that would fit a trash can. We are so involved in consuming different kinds of products which has a container, very useful indeed, convenient, but trace it out, where would these go in the first place? of course in our trash can. It's like we're a team of disaster awaiting individuals who counts down the life of the earth from being so polluted from the trash that it's own beneficiaries produce.

how we let the scam of the media affects our lifestyle is another sad fact, people are so into the exchange of money for an instant food, where in many cases are the fast food. These fast food chains are producing a huge amount of environmentally harmful containers that takes not a while to decompose, and yet we are so attached to the taste of plasticity coming in and out our stomach. We could just instead buy from the market some meat and ingredients and fire up the stove for cooking, isn't it way better for our health as an individual, and yet we could save the environment from tons of disposable materials? Let's make a difference.

the 11th hour dialogue reactions and comments

the 11th hour is a very good piece of film, it is in fact a film that should be shown to all people around the world, it's not an entertainment film, but it's really a world class movie to showcase. We are to movies which give us entertainment, yes it's human nature to watch film for entertainment, but this one is a hundred percent informative movie.

The movie tells about what's happening in the world in the present time, by that given information, the people could take necessary precautions about anything they do about the environment, it's important, why? because it's our home, while we thought of the media as something who gives us the best information at all times at all cost, well this movie tells us more, not so much of something that is somehow a selfish information, or something not worthy to talk about, what else is more important than our health and our home? here is one of the many dialogues that struck me the most.

Kenny Ausubel: "When we all talk about "saving the environment" in a way it's misstated because the environment is going to survive. We are the ones who may not survive. Or we may survive in a world we don't particularly wanna live in."

This line is about the greatest line in the movie, for me it's full of emotions and it would really strike the attention of the listeners, when we think of ourselves to be some superior being, well it's true, we humans are the smartest creation, i may not say that we are the "greatest" creation because we lie to the bracket of the most influential changer of the environment, even though we have the mind to do almost anything that it can perceive, we are not in control of our attitude towards our consciousness about our home, what is for us to achieve if we don't have anything left, what if our earth would not make us control of its life cycle, then the moment the earth stops moving, are we going to freeze as well?

Kenny Ausubel said in the movie that the environment is something that we could change in the matter of saving it, but the reality is we are almost our of control of it, that i'm afraid that one day, the only thing we could do is to wait for our consequences and bills to pay when the earth struck in return to our abuse of it.

Footprint Analysis

The Earth is not as big as we could just see it from the space, yes it is huge and yes we are tiny, but then analysis of something in huge quantity may lead to a ratio not far from 1 is to 1 when talking about the Earth's resources against the needs of the people. We have underestimated the cause of every human being to the earth, like what i said in my first post, we cannot see the big things if we don't start counting them as smaller partitions of a huge group of organisms called humans, eco footprint could give respect to the fact that we have to consider the statistics of our needs to the earth's ability to supply it.

let us consider this as an example, today we have about 7.12 billion people around the globe and counting, we have lost the control of our population and to sustain our health, we have to adjust the supplies, and for adjusting the supplies, we have to consider the raw materials needed to maintain the quantity of the supplies. The world today is at its scarce state, our sphere home has counted down to its emptiness, it's like having a haircut every week where time is not enough for it to grow enough to be able to cut, a sponge that human squeezes even if there's no drop of resource available anymore.

the land surface of the earth is about 148 million square kilometers, a household has statistically got a 1 hectare of land per capita, and 1 hectare is 0.01 square kilometers, how could we even budget everything in our home if we are too crowded. we have not yet considered the part of that 148 million square kilometers which are not fertile, which in urban places' case, the land area which our houses and other buildings are built.

it is now a call time for us, it's quite an alarming fact to us that these eco footprint relatively gives us a huge amount of numbers, but then we should take this opportunity to take part of the environment by not just preventing the abuse of people by illegal approach to nature, but also preventing the abuse of people by taking substantial consumption to our resources, that by any means of a source maybe distributed so that not all would desperately get another, which our earth is paying. Let us not make our only home PAY for the price of our indiscipline consumption.

Tayabas Bay and Pagbilao Bay

Philippines is a very known country for its natural resources, there are many in particular, but due to its archipelagic arrangement in the earth, wetlands are indeed one of the most abundant sceneries found in the country.In a great variety of wetlands in this country, Tayabas Bay and Pagbilao Bay are two of the specials for its huge fisheries, these bays are majorly supplying wet goods in the Metro, but besides the food that it provides, besides the industries and products, the wide mangrove forest serves as the place's protection from the violent movement of the waves created by typhoons and other calamities, this may be the reason why this place is rather a great way to establish a fish pond or a farm of aquatic species. Tayabas Bay and Pagbilao Bay for that matter, even if there are things causing disrupting events, are known for its quiet waters.

However there are inevitable changes of nature due to human use, some are fairly not just happening on water, but on land too, a provided danger of erosion due to excessive slash and burn may be experienced and this activity may also give more reason for the place to be more humid, as this place maintain a humid tropical climate ranging a little more or less 28 degrees, people might have been adding some chemicals around the place for it to become more humid and toxic. Going into the industry of fisheries, this industry could also lead the pollution of the bays, for it's uncountable number of ponds, there breed many more and various kinds of fish that will have to share one contained area for their everyday food, and disposal as well. and people being more harsh than the nature's natural phenomenons, some of them use dynamites for fishing which is a very irresponsible way to preserve what their industry needs, the home of their fish, the coral reefs, and after all the distraction of humans to nature, humans clearly forgot themselves too, as they constantly destroy the resources for their own sake, they also destroy their health and their income, to have some thought, people have been using chemicals which in case, will affect their own health as well, and as they destroy their resources, they destroy their income and industries.

Counting days, nights, and probably years, extrudes many people to notice the changes of the ecosystem, and they have even planned to have a conservative act known as The Agroforestry and Mangrove Forest Research Center at Talipan in Pagbilao Bay, this includes 114 ha of good quality mangrove forest protected as a faunal sanctuary, this center was established in 1975 by the Forestry Research Institute, and also a mangrove rehabilitation project has been established by the same Institute on the Bondoc Peninsula.

The wants of the SMALL and the need of the BIG

The question "how much "EARTH" do you see on this planet?" is quite controversial, maybe the right question would be, how much part are you in this planet? Many of us people tend to see ourselves as some sort of the particles of earth, and that's how small we see human beings as being part of this world, well how about thinking of the opposite like as someone look at human beings as so much superior as a God, would that be the calling of Jesus to go down from heavens and punish us? Now how much do we think of balance in many aspects of our lives? We see so much BIGNESS and so much SMALLNESS, we have never been struck of what is in the middle of those words, the word BALANCE.

We could spell disaster by just starting to have a judgement of how small or big a thing is, like for example, a small bullet: it is assumingly designed for people to get hurt but it gives threat as death to a person who could catch one, people tend to look at things as small as it could be, regardless of how much it could effect. Here in our society, it is a huge advancement for the global warming that we're experiencing right now. WHY?

The planet earth is a sphere of many creatures with different, and little much of similar functions or purposes in life, and it's hard to believe that majority of the people only see this planet just as small as their eyes could see, regardless of walls and boundaries, and they tend to judge it as a place of permanency, but the truth is, our environment changes, that's the only permanent thing on this planet, the "change", but then going back how much value do we give on small things; i could conclude that we value it less than big things right?

i had a personal experiment of how small and how big people see things, i left a 10 centavo on a street walk, and 1 peso coin as well, back after 3 hours, i saw the 10 centavo still there and the 1 peso i assume was taken already, do you see the point of what it relates to? that's how big we see the 1 peso coin, and that's how small we see the 10 centavo coin, not realizing that the values of those coins doesn't really give much of a gap from one another, 10 pieces of 10 centavo is equivalent to 1 peso coin already, but we just tend to value the one peso coin, that's just too bad, just as thinking of how small your room, your house, your yard, your whole lot, your street, your block, your village. etc, and how big our planet is, and how BIG our POPULATION is, was never the intention of majority of people, yes we are 1 centavo coin and the Earth is a billion, even a trillion, not considering that we are not the only living being here. Our population increases as it draws much resources from this planet, this is a chaos and a battle between the earth which is not as expanding, versus the population of destroyers called humans which grows like mushrooms all over the globe.

It is also evidently seen that discipline is one crooked thing about us rational beings, when we litter small pieces of trash, we reason out "it's just a little trash, it won't make so much mess", but when we are ought to plant trees, "why do we have to plant trees? the earth is so big and i could just plant just a tinie winky spot here on Earth, and i could just contribute a tinie winie change for the environment." is that what we are? is that called a true rational being? or are we exceeding our rational abilities? we throw garbage because we have REASONS, and we cannot plant trees because of REASONS. we could just hope for a miracle that all trash would be a seed of a tree so that every SPOT here on earth has a tree.

The wants of a SMALL things but missing the big one, is like building a Mansion without trees. got the whole lot of cement all over the mansion, but not considering our only home, the Earth. and we are all indeed in need of the BIG just because it's our only home, and there's nothing we could do about it but to preserve everything, and as much as possible, lessen the intensity of "CHANGE" in various aspects on earth, and let the people ABSORB the change, as it's our temptation, CHANGE is the word that helps us to realize, that CHANGING earth is hopeless years, and let us not count down our time left, but make us of it.

Let us not miss our need of the BIG things in exchange for SMALL, PERSONAL, SELFISH wants that destroys our planet
